So... are you all "addicted to porn" yet?
What is it with religious fundamentalists and their concept that porn is addictive? For a start, addiction is a physical problem. It's ridiculous that this word can be used to describe a complusion, which is a psychological problem.
And porn is no more addictive or compulsive than watching Lost, or playing computer games, or line dancing.
People become compulsive or obsessive about lots of things. Think about people who collect things, like stamps, or model trains, or who go birdwatching or trainspotting. Often their interest can be obsessive. But you don't hear about religious groups trying to ban trainspotting. Although, now I think about it, maybe they should.
And, if you want to take the analogy further, the way that people "religiously" attend church every week looks like compulsive, obsessive, ADDICTIVE behaviour, doesn't it?
Thankfully, there's a site out there that can help people overcome their church addiction, through the power of parody and porn.
ExExExChurch is here to help.
Find out ways to break free of the compulsive need to go to church, and discover why God made our arms the length they are.
There's also the mascot, Bob the Sexually Suggestive Wooden Massage Implement.
