We're almost halfway through 2009 and I thought I'd add a post here about some of the latest happenings in porn for women this year.
* For The Girls in association with Indigo Lush created a high quality erotic short film called "That's What I Like" which was nominated for a Feminist Porn Award.
* Petra Joy has released her latest film Her Porn which is a compilation of quality porn for women short films and scenes from the last 10 years. Her previous film "Feeling It" is due to be released in the US soon through Candida Royalle's Femme Productions.
* Authentic lesbian film Champion by Shine Louise Houston was named Film of the Year at the Feminist Porn Awards in April.
* The Sun newspaper in the UK found that 66% of women watch porn.
* A new women's erotica magazine called Filament was recently launched in the UK.
* Mimi Balfour released a softcore film for straight women called "Man of My Dreams." Playgirl released at least 6 titles in their ongoing line. A new selection of films from Sweet Sinner are aimed at women and couples.
